Self Drive in Style

Self Drive HolidaSelf Drive Cardrona Hotely Packages & Vacations in New Zealand

As nature's wonderland, New Zealand really does lend itself to touring by road, from the far North all the way to the deep south.  Well sign-posted and safe for driving, our highways and motorways steer visitors through diverse and beautiful coastline, to awe-inspiring lake and river districts, magnificent forests and national parks, and glorious mountain regions.  With this in mind, and for those who wish to take in the delights of New Zealand's country side by road, we are pleased to offer a selection of self drive packages below.  Each package includes your choice of rental car (including daily insurance and unlimited kilometres, subject to excess), a selection of handpicked accommodation, as well as the 'must see' regions and 'must do' activities in New Zealand.  Also included is breakfast each day to help you along the way!  At Luxury Vacations NZ we take care of booking all of your arrangements so that you can relax and enjoy your holiday.

Flexible Itineraries!

All of our self drive packages are fully flexible, from the date you travel to the accommodation you stay at, the activities and sightseeing you experience to your mode of transport. Our packages are ideal for Honeymooners, families and couples.  We can match your interests, budget and time frame to find that perfect balance just for you - all the while backed by our specialist advice.  You can mix your itinerary up - if you like elements of different packages, we'd be happy to combine these and provide you with a free tailor made proposal!

Package Inclusions

We don't believe in "hidden extras" so we've clearly detailed for each itinerary on our website what's included in your package price from activities and accommodation through to transport.  All of our packages do come with a range of activities and sightseeing included, but these can be altered to suit your interests or budget.

Extend Your Stay

We hope that you will take the opportunity to stay an extra night or two in the gateway cities, either at the beginning or end of your holiday.  We especially recommend this for travellers who may be arriving off long-haul flights.  An extra day or two will certainly help you in getting over any jet lag and will help to relax and refresh before setting off on your journey around New Zealand.Azur - view from lodge

If you're used to driving in the city, you should take care when driving on New Zealand's open country roads. We have a good motorway system but weather extremes, the terrain and narrow secondary roads and bridges require drivers to be very vigilant.
