Auckland Wine & Cuisine - 4 Days / 3 Nights

Day 1:  Arrive Auckland
On arrival at Auckland airport you collect your rental vehicle before making your way to your accommodation.  Known as the 'City of Sails', Auckland is New Zealand's largest and most vibrant city offering an array of cosmopolitan experiences.  Enfolded by two huge harbours, Auckland is an environment that's alive with cultural excitement and sea-flavoured challenges.

Day 2:  Discover North Auckland & Matakana Food & Wine
Today you depart on a guided tour for a full day of fantastic wine, food and stunning coastal scenery.  Travelling north, you break the journey with a with famous Puhoi Cheeses tasting and morning tea/coffee before visiting three boutique wineries in picturesque Matakana wine region, just 50 minutes north of the city.  Then it’s time for a superb ‘open menu' restaurant lunch with wine, desserts, coffee and tea in the heart of Matakana's green wine country.  After lunch there is the option of the Honey Centre, Sculpture trail or Ceramics and Pottery centre.  Return to Auckland late afternoon.

Day 3:  At Leisure & Evening Dining
Today is at leisure to relax or explore what Auckland has to offer.  Perhaps visit Kelly Tarlton’s Underwater World and Antarctic Encounter, take a cruise on Auckland Harbour or make your way to the top of the Sky Tower for spectacular views of Auckland city.  Then before sunset you enjoy a scenic helicopter flight over the city and green countryside north west of Auckland to reach the The Hunting Lodge, a 130-year-old colonial cottage set amidst gardens and vineyards in the beautiful Waikoukou Valley in Waimauku. Wallow in the lovely "old time" ambience of a gracious home as you enjoy a superb a la carte 3 course meal before returning to Auckland by private vehicle with driver.

Day 4:  Depart Auckland
Sadly, your holiday is at an end as you return your rental vehicle to Auckland airport today in time for your onward flight. Here, we bid you a fond farewell to your homeland and hope you leave with many happy memories of your stay in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
