Bareboat Charter Yacht Hire in the Abel Tasman National Park

For experienced sailors who want the freedom of a bareboat charter, we have modern, fully self contained 4 & 5 berth shallow draft yachts available for multi-day hire. 

We offer small shallow draft yachts for one simple reason... the best of the Abel Tasman is in the shallow water of the rivers, tidal lagoons and secluded coves!  These yachts are fully equipped for your charter.  Just bring your own personal gear, food and refreshments.  And the yachts are modern, safe and comfortable and all feature an engine, toilet, gas cooker and solar shower. 

And, there are qualified skippers avaialbe for personalised tuition, so only basic boating experience is required!


FARR 6000 (4 berth)  

This is New Zealand's most popular shallow draft 6 metre yacht.  A very simple yacht to sail with impressive space for its size, it is ideal for a couple or small family.  1 double berth and 2 singles.

GAZELLE MK2 (5 berth) 

A 7.5 metre shallow draft performance cruising yacht.  Excellent performance under sail, combined with easy handling.  For those looking for a bit more space and speed.  1 double berth and 3 singles.

Berths:	1 Double, 3 Singles (maximum 5 people)
Draught (keel up):	0.4 metres
Draught (keel down):	1.6 metres
Engine:	Yamaha 10 horsepower

NOTE: 

All bareboat charter yacht departures are from Marahau at 12:00pm (midday).

Free off street parking for self drive clients.

Personalized return bus transfers from Nelson $120. A provisions stop if required will cost an additional $50.
