Course Details:
Lakes Resort, Pauanui is the result of a single minded focus on the creation of a golf course which would be private and uninterrupted. It's also one of New Zealand's newest golf resorts and the course is both testing and rewarding for all levels of golfers.
Nestled in a sun drenched valley and surrounded by forestry, Lakes Resort is the site of New Zealand's premier golfing resort, lying amidst the preserved pristine landscape where forest covered hills blend in to some of the most spectacular wetlands seen on the Coromandel Peninsula.
The greens at The Lakes are without question among the best in New Zealand. They are the first putting surfaces in New Zealand to be made from L93 Bent, an exceptional strong, consistent strain of grass developed at the University of Georgia in the U.S.
The course opened in 2004 so it's still settling down and the final look of this Coromandel gem is still to come. But the stone bridges, waterfalls, native bush, and the unique boardwalk that links the 4th green with the 5th tee add up to a new golf links that's the perfect place to play.

Clubhouse & Course Amenities:
The clubhouse includes all the usual amenities, such as men's and women's changing rooms, lockers and storage areas for clubs. The Pro Shop of course caters to the golfer with a driving range and practice facility including greens and bunkers as well as tuition facilities.
Legends Restaurant & Bar provides a warm casual atmosphere where golfers can relax at the end of a great days golf.

Lakes Resort offers superb 2 & 3 bedroom villa suite accommodation, featuring spacious open plan lounges and dining areas with gas fires, fully equipped kitchens and laundries for added convenience.

Important Notes:
On the golf course, guests are required to wear collared shirt, walk shorts/tailored trousers and appropriate golf shoes with soft spikes or soft-soled sports shoes. Metal spikes are not permitted on the golf course. |
