Course Details:
This par 72 championship course is home to the NZ PGA Championship. Designed by John Darby in consultation with New Zealand golfing legend, Sir Bob Charles, the course combines elements of links golf inspired by the great Scottish courses with parkland golf, more reminiscent of Florida.
Playable year-round, the course at Clearwater is aptly named. Its fifteen hectares of lakes are fed by an abundance of natural springs and crystal clear streams, teeming with trout.
Water comes into play on fourteen holes and if the lakes don't catch errant balls, then the acres of tussocks and marram grasses will.
Outrigger at Clearwater Resort has been awarded the highest rating of any course in the country by the New Zealand Golf Association. At 76.8 off the black or championship tees, it ranks as the toughest in the country. But there are four other tee positions to suit players of all abilities.

Clubhouse & Course Amenities:
The clubhouse includes all the usual amenities, such as mens' and womens' changing rooms, lockers and storage areas for clubs. The Pro Shop offers a range of quality golf products including clubs, bags, balls, gloves, shoes and clothing.

The Outrigger at Clearwater Resort offers elegant and modern lakeside units while accommodation in guest rooms and suites, villas in a contemporary boathouse design, and the spacious 2 bedroom Terrace Apartments each with a cozy fireplace, all offer marvellous lake and fairway views.
