Jo Barry - Managing Director

Jo's career in tourism began in 1994 at Sunbeam Tours.  Within a couple of years she was Manager of the Inbound Department and was later appointed as Operations Manager for the company, where she stayed until mid 2000.  During this time Jo also worked in the US at the Los Angeles branch of Sunbeam Tours.  Jo then spent a time working for Sunbeam Tours in their Sydney office before returning to New Zealand to continue her industry experience at General Travel as a Senior Account Manager, and later Product Development Manager.

In November 2002, Luxury Vacations New Zealand was established and Jo joined as Operations Manager where she was instrumental in developing the Luxury Vacations brand and product.

In October of 2003 the position of Managing Director was offered to Jo, which she accepted.  At the same time Jo purchased a significant shareholding in the business.

Jo is still involved in the day to day operations of the business, as well as being responsible for the ongoing management and development of the company.

 
Sian Rossiter - Operations Manager

Sian joined the team at Luxury Vacations in April 2007.  Having completed a 12 month Travel & Tourism Diploma, Sian's first job in Tourism was working for Flight Centre in Brisbane where she worked in their ticketing centre for 18 months.  Here she gained the skills and overall experience she needed to undertake a new role with additional challenges.  This position also made her realise that Travel and Tourism is the industry she wanted to continue to develop in.

Prior to joining us, Sian was with Atlantic Pacific American Express where she was a Corporate Consultant responsible for the ongoing management of one of their major key accounts in a fast paced and busy environment. 

Sian is responsible for overseeing the planning and development of our client's personalised travel itineraries as well as ensuring every aspect of their holidays run smoothly and seamlessly.
